2021 Creative Carpet & Flooring Ugly Floor Entry

The 1970s called, they want their floor back!

My grandparents (85 and 87) built their house in 1958 and have lived there ever since. At one time, this kitchen floor was new and stylish. Fast forward 50 years, not so much. This floor is in need of an update, but my grandfather doesn’t believe in replacing something unless it’s broken and beyond repair (even then, he will try his hardest to fix it.) The photo shows their kitchen floor, which is half green shag carpet (not so much shag anymore as it’s had 45ish years of wear and tear), and half green linoleum.
